Founder John Owusu, MSc, was born and raised in Ghana, where he developed a deep appreciation for the value of the country’s land, resources, and people. In 2011, he relocated to the United States to pursue a career in finance, motivated by a desire to understand how global markets function and how capital can be a force for sustainable development.
John has worked at some of the world’s most respected financial institutions—including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock, and Bank of New York Mellon—serving in roles such as private equity associate. His experience spans investment strategy, deal structuring, and long-term value creation across global markets.
With Ridge Africa, John returns to his roots with a global lens—building a platform that connects trusted Ghanaian assets with international buyers, investors, and partners. His mission is to deliver ethical sourcing, strategic investment, and lasting impact through every transaction.
